Life is a series of crossroads that you have to deal with. Decisions have to be made. How do you make decisions? “So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins” (Luke 6.46-49, NLT). How do we find God’s will for our life? The SOVEREIGN will of God. The MORAL will of God. The PERSONAL will of God. “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed” (Psalm 139.16, NLT). “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” (Romans 8.28, NLT). What am I doing that I should not be doing? If you are outside of God’s will, it can be difficult to hear God’s voice. What am I not doing that I should be doing? “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it” (James 4:17, NLT). If you want to find answers in your life you need to get in the boundaries. BE TRANSFORMED WITHIN. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” (Romans 12:2, NLT). BE AVAILABLE FOR SERVICE. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10, NLT). Your life will never make sense until you connect with your purpose.
