What can we learn from those that give up that will help keep us from following suit? “So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me” (Colossians 1.28-29, NLT). There is this divine energy within Paul. The Spirit of God that is in us driving us, energizing us, propelling us to keep going all out for God. The question is why have some given up? Hebrews chapter eleven gives us some great insights. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” (Hebrews 12.1-2, NLT).

TIMESTAMPS 3:14 Some give up because they lose their frame of reference. 6:31 Some give up because of they refuse to let go of weight they were not called to carry. 8:17 Some give up because they take their eyes off of the main thing. 9:14 Some give up because they have lost hope.
